Lucinda walked out to the edge of the ice rink nervously. She was awful at ice-skating and hadn't done any for about forty years. She had fallen and chipped her tailbone and had found it unbelievably embarrassing. People had been laughing and even the doctor had to swallow a chuckle, which had made the experience even worse when she was told she was having x-ray. Yes lets x-ray your ass. She had made a mental note to never ever show her face again at that doctors or the ice rink. This was a new thing in town, something else. She had to try ice-skating again. For all she knew she could have been brilliant up until the fall. She couldn't remember properly: the fall had taken up most of the memory space. Lucinda paid her money and collected size 5 skates from the man handing them out. She went and sat on a bench and pulled them on. She could see all the other girls skating with beautiful graceful turns and other sorts of fancy things. Lucinda grimaced. She'd arrived in a pair of woolly black jogging bottoms, bright pink leg warmers, numerous layers of tops and t-shirts and finally her old best friends Metallica hoody she'd borrowed and forgotten to give back. Her eyes were heavily eyelined but her lips only had Vaseline on them. She bit her lip and stood up. This was the big mistake moment. She was about to ice skate.
Lucinda clung to the side of the rink and reached out her left foot and touched the ice as if testing to make sure it would take her weight, which it obviously would, but then again you could never be to careful. She wasn't usually safety orientated. It was only a temporary thing for today until she worked out how awful she really was at this whole skating on ice thing. She stepped out onto the ice and gripped the side of the rink so hard her knuckles turned completely white, almost as white as the ice itself. She began to go along the side holding onto the rink and looking like a complete and utter pillock as her old friend Lars would have said. She held her breath and let go. She had squeezed her eyes shut when she had done this and when she opened them she realised she was just standing in the middle of the rink doing nothing. Boll0cks. She thought. Now how do I get off…?

Jasmine was calmly skating around the ice rink, quite close to the side, when she say one of her good friends slowly skating through the centre of the ring. She shouted "Lucinda" as she wobbled and lost her balance. Her feet began to slide forwards the rest of her body fell backwards, her head barely missing the side of the rink. She landed on the ice, she felt a shiver run up he spine. She attempted two or three times to get up of the cold ice but simply kept sliding back down on her ass. She grabbed onto the side of the rink, and using all of her upper body strength, managed to get up off the side of the ice. She looked over at Lucinda who quite obviously hadn't heard her, or was so scared to turn around. So she quickly skated over, grabbed her by the arm and skated to the other side of the rink. "What are you doing skating in the centre or the rink? Trying to make and ass of yourself?"

Lucinda stood in the middle of the rink looking panicked and then Jasmine skated over to her. "Thank god you're here. I think I am going to faint or die or something." said Lucinda sounding younger than she actually was. It was a hard thing to do, go and confront your fear or in this case and embarrassing memory. She wasn't sure she liked doing it anymore. She shook her head and smiled at Jasmine. Even seeing her was comforting enough. She held onto Jasmine's arm. "Okay, I want to get off now...How do I do that?" she asked with a dorkey smile on her face. She sort of laughed, or tried to laugh because she was so overcome with fear of falling and the fear of being stranded in the middle of an ice rink for the rest of her days. Which happened to be a very, very long time seeing as she could live forever. She sighed and blew on her hands in attempt to keep warm.

Don't worry, come over to the side Jasmine Grabbed Lucindas arm and dragged her to the side of the rink before she could embarass herself anymore. What brings you here she asked Lucinda with a look of surprise on her face whilst she leant in for a hug. I thought you hated ice skating? She grabbed onto the side to insure that she didn't fall AGAIN

Lucinda smiled thinly, "I think I hate it more now." she said, "I came here to confront my fear and try something new. Well that plan went out the window didn't it?" she laughed and tucked some hair behind her ear before looking over at Jasmine again, "I never knew you skated." she said clambering off the ice and crawling onto the ground. She sat down and took off her her skates and threw them across the room. She glared at them and put her own boots back on. She smiled up at Jasmine and waited for a reply while brushing some hair out of her eyes.

Jasmine stepped out of the rink nd slowly stumbled over to where Lucinda was sitting. Don't be scared of the ice She said begining to giggle. You just have to forget what happened the last time you came ice skating. What did happen anyways? Jasmine Sat down beside Lucinda and began to untie her ice skates.

Lucinda smiled over at Jasmine, "I don't remember exactly what happened but I remember falling over and having to go to the doctors and him laughing at me and having a chipped tail bone." she shuddered at the memory but laughed at herself good humouredly. She finished lacing up her own boots and grinned as she stood up and began to walk away from the Ice Rink, "You wanna grab a coffee or something?"

Jasmine Began to giggle. [glow=red,2,300]"Yeah sure"[/glow]She stood up and began to walk towards Lucinda. [glow=red,2,300]"And hey, don't worry about it, Lots of people fall...I've fell quite a few times, Never hurt my tail bone or anything, but I have fell."[/glow] She said begining to laugh, But she then realised it may hurt Lucindas feelings if she laughed, so she quicky shook her head and continued talking. [glow=red,2,300]"So yeah about that coffee."[/glow] She said with a smile on her face and began to laugh once more.

Lucinda laughed, "Would you like something other than coffee? Like an acoholic beverage of some shape or form?" she smiled, she knew how strict the law was now days about alcohol. In her opinion it was nonsense. She'd been brought up on wine and beer and she was perfectly fine. She smiled to herself at the memory of Mr Corrigan giving her her first sip of wine. It had been like she'd lived without something for so long that she needed and craved. She was addicted to wine. Wine and blood. Two red liquids that made her feel wonderful and full of happiness. That satisfied her hungry appitite.

Jasmine could not turn down this offer. She was only 15 and therefore couldn't by alcohol for herself. She hadn't had any since her foster parents 20th wedding aniversery and longed for just a small sip of whatever she could get her hands on. This was the perfect opertunity for her to get some alcohol. But then she thought to her self
The legal age to by alcohol is 18. Lucinda only looked 16. Well there goes that idea down tha drain.
She slowly tilted her head up so she was no longer facing the typical grey coloured, chewing gum covered ice-rink floor.
Where can we get it from?
She asked Lucinda hoping for a reasuring answer, but not expecting one.

Lucinda smiled revealing 2 sharp fangs, "Oh, I'll get some." she said with a dark twinkle forming in her eyes as she fantisized about what she would do if she said no. She realised she must have looked creepy so she shook her head and looked over at Jasmine and gave her a more natural smile. She shrugged, "Anyway, if they don't give it to us Vlad and I have a supply in our basement." she smiled again and looked over at Jasmine. She was so nice, so young, so innocent. So unlike Lucinda. Evil, blood thirsty, guilty. She stared around the place and began to walk out with Jasmine following. It was a good life. Sometimes.

Jasmines eyes grew bigger as in she gazed into Lucindas eyes as too say "Your my Hero"
And where did this little "supply" come from then?
She asked Lucinda as she began so smile once again. Lucinda had a supply of alcohol for quite some time...And Jasmine had been getting rejected from buying alcohol for atleast 2 years. She tried her best. Wore heals (Although they killed her feet) Pilled on the make up, and anything else that would maybe boost her chance of getting some alcohol. But none of them ever wooked. And now she finds out that one of her good friends has had a stach of it in her Basement...
**Thanks for telling me this now**
She thought to herself.
